esserbus module IQ8FCT XS

The IQ8FCT XS can be used as a FCT (fire control transponder) to control and monitor external systems, protection devices such as fire dampers or as a technical alarm module (TAL) for monitoring an external installation. (*) The transponder is connected to the esserbus / esserbusPlus loop of the fire control system FlexES Control and IQ8Control. The IQ8FCT XS incorporates an integrated loop isolator, a contact input and relay output and a contact for the parallel remote LED indicator.

The module is powered by the fieldbus and does not require external power supply. In the FCT function, a fire control device, e.g. a fire damper, will be connected to the relay output of the IQ8FCT XS and controlled. Via the input, the end positions of this external device are monitored according to the programming with the configured runtime. In the TAL function, an external contact can be connected and controlled via the input of the IQ8FCT XS function. In case of activation of this contact, the address and the programmed additional text of the corresponding technical alarm module IQ8FCT XS will be displayed.

To monitor this contact, contact an optional Control Module (Part No. 804870) or alternatively a combination of external resistors. The cable length to the contact can be up to 500 meters. For external indication of activation status, a parallel remote LED indicator (Part No. 781814) (cable length up to 100 m). The IQ8FCT XS can be mounted in the housing of the fire alarm Gateway or in a switch. on a DIN rail or in an optional surface mount housing (see accessories). (*) For monitoring fire protection equipment, local and regional requirements / regulations must be followed.
